Nomination papers of PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi have been accepted for the post of Prime Minister.
According to a statement issued by the National Assembly Secretariat on Sunday, the nomination papers were formally scrutinized.
After scrutiny, the nomination papers of both the candidates were accepted.
It was further stated that the election for the Leader of the House in the National Assembly will be held tomorrow at 2 pm.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry wrote in a tweet that after the acceptance of Shahbaz Sharif’s nomination papers, the first order from the FIA was that a team of lawyers would not appear in the case of Shahbaz Sharif tomorrow.
